Structured Play that Raises Children to Love Music and Love Themselves

IMG-1306_edited_edited.jpg

Phoebe wasn’t participating in class, but staying off in a corner. I told her mom not to worry; that as long as she’s in attendance, she is succeeding. Sure enough, within just a few weeks Phoebe surprised her mom at home by singing rhythm patterns! She was requesting more and more of the songs and activities at home. Soon she was laughing, playing and dancing in class.

In our Musikgarten Program, your child will immediately share songs and activities with you that are magnetic to children, that they can’t get enough of, and that they will want to do again and again. These songs and activities are seamlessly woven into every day life, so that music will be a means of smoothing transitions, relieving tension in daily interactions (no more fights about bath time!)

Within weeks you will see changes in your child’s development of movement, vocabulary and musicality. As you follow along with me over Zoom, your child will be following YOU, taking their cues from you, sharing an experience and building a musical bond with you. You are the program. Your relationship with your child is the program. I am just the facilitator and our Musikgarten Program is the path to help you raise a child who loves music, loves themselves and feels connected to the world and others through music.

Why this is absolutely the best thing ever for your child:

  • An online class your child can handle! This is the play time and the attention from you that they crave. (***Stay tuned for our in-person options coming up!)

  • Children cannot possibly fail or be discouraged in this exploration-based class

  • That complimentary CD and parent guide will come in handy when they keep asking you to repeat the activities between classes

  • I am not kidding about all that "smoothing transitions, relieving tension" business. Children change. A lot. In their early years. My own daughter, pictured, decided that brushing teeth was suddenly a battlefield until I adapted one of our movement games to be about brushing. No reading parenting books, no mommy blogs. I sang a song and a sticking point became another way to bond with my daughter.

  • Need to miss a class, or just want another chance this week to click a button and have instant, nurturing joy available in your living room? Come to our weekly mixed-ages class, no extra charge.

  • Deluxe instrument set included for new families, so they can enjoy use real instruments in class! (Aaaand, those times when you would turn on the tv so you can get dinner cooked? Give your kid some rhythm sticks and scarves, let them play along to the recording and congratulate yourself that you are an awesome parent in two ways at the same time right now.)

Attend one free class before you register. Then your free materials will be delivered to your door. Keep your instrument kit and parent materials if for any reason after that you change your mind. Click the link below to schedule your first class.

“Thanks Sabrina, that was awesome! Jane really enjoyed seeing Phoebe do all the actions and doing them herself a little. She did her own thing a lot (I wasn't allowed to shake the rattle after a while, for example), but she had a great time!”
